Our Strategic Functions
ASPRA’s work is organised around four mutually reinforcing functions:
1. Capacity Development
We design and deliver high-quality executive education, professional development programmes, specialised short courses and institutional capacity-building initiatives tailored to the evolving needs of governments, development partners, social security institutions, academia, civil society and the private sector.
2. Research
We undertake rigorous, independent and policy-relevant research that generates evidence to inform policy reform, programme development, institutional strengthening and responses to emerging development challenges.
3. Advisory & Consultancy
We provide independent technical advisory and consultancy services in policy analysis, programme and system design, institutional development, monitoring and evaluation, social protection financing and other specialised areas of public and social policy.
4. Knowledge & Publication
We transform research and professional expertise into accessible knowledge through policy briefs, working papers, technical reports, books, scholarly publications, conferences, seminars and other knowledge-sharing platforms.
Through these complementary functions, ASPRA seeks to bridge the gap between research, policy and implementation.
